Peter and The Wolf

The National Women’s Foundation, in collaboration with Dumbarton Arts & Education, proudly presented the Washington Conservatory Players as part of the Whittemore Concert Series.

This engaging and educational program introduced young audiences to the world of classical music through Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf. Through this beloved composition, each character was represented by a different instrument, allowing attendees to experience how music can be used to tell a story.

The performance also featured a special presentation by Washington, DC–based trombonist Noah Perkins, an internationally recognized contemporary classical musician and educator.

Events like this reflect the National Women’s Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting education, culture, and women’s history by inspiring young people to explore the arts and actively engage in their communities.
